Sources & Review Standards

For health, feeding and safety topics, HorseTation prioritizes sources that publish accountable veterinary or research-based guidance.

Preferred source types

Veterinary manuals, veterinary professional associations, university veterinary schools, university extension services, government animal-health agencies and recognized welfare organizations are preferred over anonymous blogs or unsourced social posts.

How sources appear

Key guides show a References & further reading section. A source supports the topic; it does not imply that the source organization endorses HorseTation.

Breed information

Breed pages describe broad tendencies and management context. Registry standards, breeding lines and individual horses vary, so breed labels are never treated as a diagnostic or behavioral guarantee.

Review cadence

High-risk health and safety pages are reviewed when major source guidance changes or when an error is reported. Other pages are reviewed periodically based on use and subject stability.
